Opalescence Take Home Instructions

TAKE-HOME WHITENING TRAYS AND OPALESCENCE GEL INSTRUCTIONS

HELPFUL TIPS:

  • Before you whitening, brush and rinse your teeth like you normally do each day.
  • Prolong life of gel syringes by storing in refrigerator.
  • Only whiten teeth that are showing when you smile.

STEP 1: LOAD TRAY

  • Express a small dot of gel in the well of the tray for each tooth you want to whiten. The size of your mouth will determine the number teeth to fill, usually from molar to molar. This should use about 1/3 to 1/2 of the syringe per tray.

STEP 2: INSERT TRAY

Dry your teeth with a tissue to remove any excess saliva.

Insert the tray in your mouth and lightly tap it to adapt the sides to your teeth. Wear time depends on which concentration of Opalescence gel you use.

  • Opalescence 10%: 8-10 hours or overnight
  • Opalescence 15%: 4-6 hours
  • Opalescence 20%: 2-4 hours
  • Opalescence 35%: 30 minutes

STEP 3: REMOVE TRAY

  • Remove tray and use your finger or wet toothbrush to clean any excess gel off your teeth. Rinse your mouth twice, being sure not to swallow rinsed gel.
