DATA APPLIANCE - HOMECARE INSTRUCTIONS

You’re the new owner of a data appliance – Now what?

CARING FOR YOUR DATA APPLIANCE

GUIDELINES WHEN WEARING YOUR DATA APPLIANCE

You should wear your appliance 24/7, except while eating and brushing your teeth.
After removing your appliance, while sitting upright or standing, lightly tap your back teeth together and note which tooth or teeth touch first.
You should not experience additional discomfort while wearing your appliance.
You may experience relief of current discomfort while wearing your appliance.
Do NOT wear your appliance if it has been more than two weeks since your last appointment in our office.
You MUST wear your appliance to EVERY appointment so that we can check or adjust your appliance or bite if needed.
Your appliance must have been worn AT LEAST THREE HOURS PRIOR to your appointment.

WHEN TO CALL US?

Call us immediately if you have any additional discomfort or problems or if you feel any back teeth touch while closing with your appliance in. Any additional questions or concerns call us at 440.461.9600.
